Terms of Use

Last updated: September 13, 2026.

1. What SolarSiteIQ is

SolarSiteIQ connects homeowners with independent, third-party solar installers (“Installer Partners”). We are not an installer, do not perform installation work, and do not guarantee any savings, incentive eligibility, project suitability, pricing, or sales outcome. Any lead score or classification we display is an internal, evolving estimate to help route requests — it is not a certification of quality, and it is not a promise about any individual homeowner or installer.

2. Service area

SolarSiteIQ currently serves Illinois addresses only. Requests from outside Illinois are classified as outside our current service area and are not matched with an installer through this service.

3. Homeowners

Submitting a request is free. You agree to provide accurate information. No account is required to submit a request.

4. Installers

4.1 Approval. Installers apply and are reviewed before being approved to purchase requests. Our review is based on the information an installer submits about their business and services; we do not independently verify licensing or credentials beyond what is submitted, and approval is not a guarantee or certification of an installer’s quality, licensing status, or workmanship. Approval may be granted, denied, or later revoked at our discretion.

4.2 Accounts. Approved installers may sign in with an email/password or a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4.3 Individual follow-up only. Installers may contact a homeowner only about the specific request they purchased, on an individual, person-to-person basis. Installers may not use a purchased request for automated marketing campaigns, autodialed calls, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, or any unrelated marketing. Installers must honor a homeowner’s request to stop contact and must not resell, redistribute, or share a purchased homeowner’s contact or property information with any other party. Installers remain independently responsible for complying with all laws applicable to their own outreach.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit false information, attempt to bypass our security or abuse-prevention measures, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

6. Installer purchases, exclusivity, and refunds

6.1 Pricing. The price to purchase a request is shown before you pay. Pricing is per request — there is no subscription or recurring charge. Payment is processed by Stripe.

6.2 Exclusivity. Each request is sold to one installer only. If more than one installer attempts to purchase the same request at nearly the same time, only the first payment we can confirm as successfully processed will be honored; any other installer’s payment for that same request is automatically identified as unfulfillable and refunded, with a notice explaining why.

6.3 Delivery. The homeowner’s full contact and property details are released only after your payment is confirmed. The purchase-confirmation notice itself never includes the homeowner’s contact details — you access those in your installer portal once the purchase is confirmed.

6.4 Reporting a problem. You may report a problem with a purchased request within 72 hours of your purchase being confirmed. Eligible reasons are: invalid or fake contact information; a disconnected or invalid phone number; a duplicate SolarSiteIQ request; the homeowner denying they made the request; or a technical/system error that caused an improper sale. We review each report individually.

6.5 Outcome. An approved report is refunded to your original payment method; a denied report is explained by email. Reports are generally not eligible for reasons such as the homeowner not answering, changing their mind, your inability to close a sale, a delayed response on your part, or disagreement with the homeowner’s pricing expectations.

7. Third-party services

Parts of this site rely on third-party services, each governed by its own terms: Stripe (payments), Google (address lookup and optional sign-in — Google Terms of Service), and hCaptcha, operated by Intuition Machines, Inc. (abuse prevention).

8. Intellectual property

The SolarSiteIQ name, site design, and content are our property or used under license. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

9. Disclaimers

The site and any lead scoring or classification are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that any request will be matched, purchased, or result in a completed solar installation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolarSiteIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, a submitted request, or a purchased request — including disputes between a homeowner and an installer, which are between those two parties. Nothing in this section limits any right that cannot be limited or waived under applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; we will update the “Last updated” date when we do. A change to these Terms does not retroactively alter the terms that applied to a purchase you already completed.
